The heart of the day is Ephesus itself, including the Terrace Houses: seven Roman villas preserved under a protective roof, their mosaics and frescoes so intact you can imagine the dinner parties. Is a full day too much for children or older travelers?

Are the Terrace Houses worth the extra entrance fee?
In our local opinion: they are the single most underrated sight in Ephesus. If you love mosaics, frescoes or simply imagining how people actually lived, do not skip them.
What should we bring?
