Most travelers give Turkey a week and Istanbul takes all of it — the city has that gravity. But many of our happiest guests are the ones who lent Ephesus a single day of their Istanbul stay: an hour's flight each way, and in between, the most complete Roman city in the Mediterranean.
The rhythm is simple and proven. You board an early flight from Istanbul (either airport works); an hour later your guide is shaking your hand at Izmir arrivals. Forty-five minutes after that you are walking through the upper gate of Ephesus with the morning still fresh — Odeon, Curetes Street, the Library of Celsus, the Great Theatre, and the Terrace Houses if you wish, all before a proper Turkish lunch.
The afternoon adds the House of Virgin Mary in its hilltop pines and the Temple of Artemis — or, for the archaeologically greedy, the Ephesus Museum — before we deliver you to the airport rested, fed and ahead of schedule. The evening flight lands you in Istanbul in time for dinner with a story very few of your fellow travelers can tell. Arrivals to Ephesus

Which flights should we book?
Turkish Airlines, Pegasus and AJet fly Istanbul–Izmir many times daily from both IST and SAW. Aim to land at ADB by 09:30 and depart after 19:00; tell us your date and we will recommend exact flights before you buy.
Is a day trip too rushed?
It is a full day, not a frantic one — flight times bookend the day, and everything between moves at your pace. Guests regularly tell us it felt more relaxed than their Istanbul sightseeing days. Overnighting in Sirince or Kusadasi is a lovely upgrade if your schedule allows.
What if a flight is delayed?
We track it live and adjust — a morning delay compresses the museum, not the marble. For the evening flight we build in generous margins, the same discipline that protects our cruise guests.
Are flight tickets included?
Flights are booked by you (keeping your airline points and fare choice); everything from Izmir arrivals onward — guide, vehicle, planning, timing advice — is ours.
Do you charge extra for the skip-the-line tickets?
