Celebrity Cruises in Kusadasi: Ship Days, Port Hours and Your Ephesus Plan

Celebrity’s ships visit Kusadasi for Ephesus, and their calls are generous: most run ten hours, from 08:00 to 18:00. That is enough for the ancient city and one more site, as long as the day is built around your all-aboard time rather than the sailing time.

What an 08:00 to 18:00 Celebrity call allows

Celebrity prints the all-aboard time in Celebrity Today, the daily program in your stateroom and on the app. It comes before the departure time you see on schedule websites, so that is the time to plan backward from. A typical ten-hour call then runs like this:

1. Off the ship. Walk along the pier and through the terminal to the exit where the pier meets the town. Your guide is waiting there with your name on a sign.
2. To Ephesus. 20–30 minutes by car to the Upper Gate, up to 45 on days when several large ships arrive together.
3. The ancient city. Two to three hours walking about 1.5 km downhill to the Harbor Gate, with skip-the-line entry. Add about 45 minutes for the Terrace Houses.
4. One more site. The House of the Virgin Mary on the hill above, St. John’s Basilica and the Temple of Artemis in Selcuk, or a long lunch in Sirince.
5. Back at the pier with a comfortable margin before all-aboard, and time for the old town if you want it.

Where Celebrity ships moor at Ege Port

Ege Port has two finger piers and four double berths, each with a published maximum length. Celebrity’s Edge-class ships, Ascent and Xcel, are 326.5 m long, so they fit only berths 5–6 (up to 331 m) and 7–8 (up to 387 m). Celebrity Equinox, at 317 m, needs one of the same two. Celebrity Infinity, at about 294 m, can also use berths 1–2 (up to 300 m). The port assigns the berths each day; every pier leads to the same terminal exit.

Celebrity Infinity

A Millennium-class ship of about 294 m on Best of Greece round trips from Piraeus, lasting seven to eleven nights. Her calls run from March to October, most often on Tuesdays, then Thursdays and a few Sundays, usually 08:00 to 18:00. Her four spring calls in March and April start at 07:00, and three October calls stay until 20:00.

Celebrity Ascent

An Edge-class ship, 326.5 m, on 11-night round trips from Civitavecchia that combine Greece, Turkey and Italy, or Greece, Italy and Malta. Nine calls are listed, on Thursdays or Saturdays, all from 08:00 to 18:00.

Celebrity Xcel

The youngest ship on this page, delivered in late 2025 and also Edge class at 326.5 m. She makes four calls between June and September 2027, three of them on Tuesdays, on sailings from Piraeus to Barcelona, 08:00 to 18:00.

Celebrity Equinox and Celebrity Eclipse

Solstice-class Equinox (317 m) has two Friday calls in May and June 2027, 09:00 to 19:00, on a Barcelona to Civitavecchia sailing. Eclipse makes one October 2026 call, 09:00 to 20:00, on its way from Piraeus to Ravenna.
