What is kokorec?
A beloved Turkish street classic — seasoned, grilled and chopped into bread. We tell you exactly what it is before you try it, or after, whichever you prefer. Nobody is ever forced; the kofte and toast are magnificent on their own.
Is there enough food to count as lunch?
Comfortably — a graze across several stalls adds up to a very satisfying meal. Vegetarians are looked after too: cheese toast, seasonal snacks and whatever meat-free things look good that day.
How much walking is it really?

Can we add the Terrace Houses?
Yes — the entrance sits right at our turn-around point opposite the Temple of Hadrian, so you can decide on the day. They add 30 to 45 minutes of guided time and a separate ticket, and the frescoes and mosaics are worth every minute.
